Red Carpet Style: Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee Steifeld has been making waves in the fashion and movie worlds ever since she made her debut in True Grit alongside Hollywood vets Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon. Although she's only fourteen, Hailee has been appearing on red carpets wowing critics with her young yet elegant style.

Hailee looks refreshing in this blush-nude Marchesa gown. It is romantic and sweet. She styles them with this beautiful geometric nude heels that make her appear taller and slimmmer--not that she needs to. The hemline is tasteful and she looks her age without looking kiddish.

For the golden globes, the first-time nominee wore white. But instead of thinking bridal we were stunned by the confidence Hailee projected as she walked the red carpet. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, helping her look young in this minimalistic gown. The proportions are lovely and the absense of too much jewelry was a great call.

Hailee in Prada? Perfection! Her slim frame is able to handle the large and bold stripes of the gown. Her simple wavey hair compliments the structure lines and adds movement to the look. She kept with simple makeup and no jewelry save for a bold red ring on her right hand. Hailee, normally looking so prim and formal, looks lovely. This is young and beautiful.

Hailee decided to go a bit more simplistic this event. She chose a simple black dress and patent leather mary-janes in black. She accent the look with a simple bracelet and pulled her hair back into a soft side pony. The gown seems to skim her body rather than cling to it. This was a brilliant choice on Hailee's part. Lovely.

Red Carpet Style: Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Wright in a grey leather jacket paired with black skinny jeans [left] and in Alexander McQueen [right].

It has been largely rumored that Bonnie Wright--budding British fashionista--is engaged to Jamie Campbell Bower, Caius from the Twilight Saga. And yes, that's him the upper-left picture. Doesn't ring a bell? Well, you have another chance to see him in the up-coming final installment of Harry Potter as Gellert Grindelwald.

The couple has yet to confirm their engagement and Bonnie has even gone as far as denying it but the rumors are still flying. I have become newly obsessed with Bonnie's young, often times black, style. Emma Watson is not the only fashionista on the set of HP. Emma had better look out. [jk]

Bonnie Wright in a chunky sweater over a white dress [left] and in Prada [right].

On one hand she can look casual and slightly grunge-esque [no, not the movie] with a knitted sweater over a white dress and red felt heels over black socks. So unexpected. So chic. But on the other hand she can look glamorous, like she stepped right out of old Hollywood.

I loved this interview she did with Nylon Magazine. She seemed so humble and sweet--despite the fact that  she was famous practically from birth [excuse my hyperbole]. Did she appear in Nylon but I just missed it? Please leave any thoughts, concerns, or ideas in the comments. I love hearing from you guys!

For those of you who live in America, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you eat lots of stuffing and turkey and pies. Yum. I love pies. Especially pecan. :)

Red Carpet Style: Carey Mulligan

Carey Mulligan is dressed in a mustard chiffon dress [left] and vintage Prada [right].

I have to admit that I prefer Carey's hair with a slight wave to her short hair. It adds texture and demension. I also perfer her with that carefree smile on her face. It doesn't appear forced but like a moment of pure happiness. She has a great style. But on another note that pleated mustard dress is to die for. It hits her at the right spot on the knee and skims her body.

Then that Prada dress is structured and the perfect summer dress. The print is nostalgic. The color from the print seems to almost match her lip color perfectly. The fitted belt draws in her waist and the nude shoes give the illusion that she is taller. Very impresed. :)

Carey Mulligan in RM by Roland Mouret and Fendi shoes. Carey in Elie Saab.

When I first noticed Carey, I was quickly impressed with her super-chic British style. I'm in love with British style--its just so different from American fashion. Both of these looks are rather sub-dued but the punch comes for the details rather than the bold color. The Mouret garmet fits her body like a glove and the proportions are perfection. She appears confident and professional. Those Fendi cut-out shoes balance the geometic inspiration from the garment.

Then there is the Elie Saab piece. Elie Saab is known for elegance and femininity. The sheer skirt almost appears like fringe. Or is it? I can't tell. Carey paired the look with simple black pumps, in an effort not to draw any attention from the delicate bodice--its lace is both sexy and classy at the same time.
