Red Carpet Style: Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana in Louis Vuitton [left] and Botegga Veneta [right].

These looks are very different. One is printed and a throw-back in time. The other is super modern and sleek. The Louis Vuitton is clearly more fashion while the Botegga Veneta is more main-stream. But both are incredibly beautiful. I don't think I've ever said this but I love Zoe's skintone. Its such a pretty carmel-mocha. [i didn't mean to make her sound like a Starbuck's drink.]

Those shoes in the left look are so chic. Adore! :)

That right look is insane. Its balances between the tight line of fashion and main-stream. The embellished glitter looks like a snake is running across her dress and I think that it is adorable. Plus those shoes are bananas. Hello, my name is Lane Newlin and I am addicted to shoes. :)

Zoe matched her shoes perfectly to her dress. The simple draping and clean lines create a dress that is classic and timeless. Zoe could store this look in her closet and pop it out twenty years later. She would still look fabulous! :) Her wavy locks make me envious. Is there any wonder why Zoe is a modern style icon?

Okay. No fancy outro. I got to go but I wanted to blog first. Bye! :)

Red Carpet Style: Dakota Fanning

The recent star of The Runaways, a movie about the band of the same name, is no longer the little girl from Uptown Girls and Charlotte's Web. I was surprised  to discover that this girl has style. I didn't know until she started promoting New Moon.

She was on the cover of Teen Vogue and it was stunning. I did a post about it earlier. Please, go check it out. But without further ado, a look at Ms. Fanning's impecible style. Enjoy!

The sparkle details on the shoulders and the sheer neckalce show off skin without becoming too vulgur. Balance and proportion are key with girls that young. I applaude Dakota for not dressing to shock people by showing as much skin as possible. But shes makes people notice with her impecible sense of style. Not very many people can make Haute Couture fit into main-stream. I also love her makeup. She looks fresh and rosy-cheeked.

Then there's that nude colored Elie Saab look that is to die for. Hello? The embrodiered cocktail dress is effortless and light. She looks confident put together and any girl, worth her weight in Chanel clothes, would want that dress. She has this ability to sell products. Her Brian Atwoods are pretty amazing too.

While Dakota's other two looks were soft and utterly femine. She also looks equally beautiful in these more structured looks. In that leather Valentino look she looks equal parts soft and tough. My favorite type of look. The neutral colors make her blue eyes pop and I'm obsessed with her black statement ring.

Then she pairs her ivory studded/embrodered dress with the perfect accesory. Yes. Of course I mean her platform purple Brian Atwood pumps. They're the perfect pop of color and I will always be a fan of purple Atwoods. :) Always. I just need to get myself a pair. And soon.

Doesn't she look absolutely stunning. I'm a little envious of her shiny, blonde hair. So pretty. :) I'm excited to see what the future has in store for this talented actress. I really wanted to see The Runaways but I just never got around to it. If you saw it what did you think?

Red Carpet Style: Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe in Marc Jacobs [left] and Chanel [right].

Rachel shimmers in this marvelous Marc Jacobs number. Zoe went to support her good friend in his own design. Long sleeves on a gown can easily look matronly but with the low cut top and the high middle slit keeps the dress look young and fresh. No jewelry, a black clutch, and a heels keep the look stylish.

Chanel is effortless, classic, and iconic. And Rachel is all of those things in this black garmet. Her signature blonde waves are the only bit of color in this monochormatic look. But what it lacks in color it makes up for in beautiful construction.

Emilio Pucci is known for his brilliant uses of prints. And this look on Rachel is no expcetion. The floorsweeping length is so glamorous and elgant. A clutch and bold bangle is all she needs to complete the look.

Calvin Kelin is effortless, simple, and clean lines. This jumper is exactly that. The olive green color is a nice unexpected neutral. Throw on a jacket and Rachel would look amazing in the cold winter weather and yet she reminds everyone of spring on the inside. Lovely.
