Bath & Body Works "Flower Shop" Candle Review

Bath & Body Works "Flower Shop" Candle
It's officially spring! I can't believe it! And to celebrate, I thought it would be fitting to talk about a the the "Flower Shop" Bath & Body Works candle. I don't know how Bath & Body Works does it but they their candles are magic. I have a million different scents for the fall/winter months but "Flower Shop" is one of only two scents that I use during the spring/summer.

Bath & Body Works "Flower Shop" Candle
"Flower Shop" smells exactly like a flower shop. I know that sounds redundant--my sister would agree. But it smells like an actual flower. There is a difference between the scent of a real flower and an artificial flower smell. But somehow Bath & Body Works managed to capture that fresh and lively element. I don't know how they do it. But its amazing. It captures "the delightful scent of fresh-cut spring flowers--sweet lilac, pink freesia and hyacinth layered with cooling greens".

I love this scent but its one of those candles that doesn't smell as great when burned. I don't know what it is but I don't like to burn it very often. It just doesn't smell the same. Although the smell is strong enough that it will fill a small, enclosed space like a bathroom or closet. And that's where I like to keep this guy. It makes me a little sad that I don't get to burn the candle. This is the first candle from Bath and Body Works that I just don't think I'm going to make it through. It'll be sitting in my bathroom, making it smell good, for the next forty years. That's some insane bang for your buck.

Bath & Body Works "S'Mores" Candle Review

Bath & Body Works "S'Mores" Candle
I know what you're all thinking. Another Bath & Body Works candle review? What? This is the best day ever! And the "S'Mores" candle from Bath & Body Works is one of the best scents ever! And to that, I must say that I agree with you on both counts. No, but seriously, I love this scent. As...you could probably tell from how much of this stuff I've already burned.

Bath & Body Works "S'Mores" Candle
This candle is marketed as smelling like "layers of gooey marshmallow, melted dark chocolate, and sweet graham cracker". Gosh. That makes me want to eat it! And don't burn this candle if you're hungry because it'll just make you crave s'mores. Or do--but make sure you have some graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate on hand.

"S'Mores" is very similar to another Bath & Body Works scent, "Marshmallow Fireside". Which is another one of my favorites. Apparently I just love it when my room smells like the inside of a marshmallow. Who knew? But while "Marshmallow Fireside" does have the noticeable marshmallow smell, "S'Mores" is a little bit more layered with the strong chocolate and graham cracker scent. They're both fantastic. It just depends on my mood which candle I end up burning. "S'Mores" is a sweet scent but it isn't overwhelming like a lot of the more sugary candles from Bath & Body Works. I'm not a big fan of super sweet smells (they can give me a bit of a headache) but I can burn "S'Mores" with no problem. I would definately check this scent out if you're looking for something on the sugary side but don't want your home to smell like its made out of candy.

Although I'm a bit nervous writing this review. I didn't see this scent the last time I went into Bath & Body Works but I'm hoping that's because this is one of their winter scents. *crossing my fingers* I love this scent and I would hate to find out that it's no longer part of their permanent range.

Bath & Body Works "Spiced Cider" Candle Review

Bath & Body Works Spiced Cider Candle
I'm trying something a little different today. It's not the sort of thing that I usually talk about but I thought I would mix it up. Try something different. Sometimes its nice to talk about something other than hair care and beauty.

School is about to start and that means that I'll be heading up to my dorm soon. The dorms have a strict no candle policy and so for the last few days I've been trying to get my candle fix before they cut me off. One of my absolute favorite fall candles is the Bath & Body Works scent, "Spiced Cider". I'm currently burning through my candle from last year but I recently picked up a back-up when I was shopping with my friends.

As you can probably tell, Bath & Body Works has repackaged "Spiced Cider" and given it a shabby-country-chic look. You can still purchase the more well-known, sleeker packaging but I thought that it would be fun to be a little different this time. But then again, I think all of the newly released items from the Fresh Picked line are adorable. My sister doesn't agree with me.

Here is what the lid looks like. It has that weathered metal look to it. Which is kind of nice because my other lids always begin to look so dingy with my finger prints all over them. I feel like I'm constantly cleaning them. But luckily, I won't have to with this one. I'm not quite sure why there is a picture of an owl (Anyone else notice Bath & Body Works obsession with owls? No. Just me? Okay.) but I'm just going with it. After all, I can resist this candle's simplicity, freshness, and goodness.

When shopping at Bath & Body Works, I noticed that a few of my favorite scents smell a bit...different. Not bad. But definitely different. "Spiced Cider" happened to be one of those scents. My candle from last year describes the scent as "a delicious blend straight from the orchard that mulls three varieties of fresh apples, spiced with nutmeg and cloves". However, this year's candle encourages you to "drink in a delicious blend of apples straight from the orchard accented by traditional mulling spices and a touch of vanilla".

The difference is pretty subtle and at first I thought I was imaging something. It wasn't until I came home and compared the scents that my suspicions were confirmed. However, the difference is even less noticeable when burned. I am a huge fan of the Bath & Body Works candles. They are super potent and last for hours. Plus, the glass containers they come in make excellent brush or pen holders wen you've burned up the entire candle. Everyone on YouTube and in the blogging world loves these candles and I'm no different. I actually really enjoyed taking pictures/ writing this blog post. I will definitively being doing more candles reviews in the future! I can't wait to share all my favorite scents with you guys.
